An adorable guest house. Clean as a whistle. We missed breakfast but the caretaker even offered us some toast and coffee for the road. Very helpful staff offered driving directions. Be sure to follow the website's directions from Donegal town.

Hi There, Thank you for having us at your wonderful and homely guesthouse. My girlfriend and I loved the beautiful sitting room and furnitures around. The traditional breakfast and french toast was very tasty. Hope you are well and I hope we will go there again in future. Regards, Declan & Agnieszka.

If you made a checklist detailing requirments necessary to make a stay perfect this guesthouse would tick all of the boxes. From the minute we pulled up to the beautifully maintained house and gardens we knew this was going to be special. Theresa who owns the guesthouse was so friendly and warm and made us feel so welcome. The interior is exceptionally comfortable and homely that you start to relax as soon as you arrive. The room we had was spacious, spotlessly clean and decorated superbly. Plenty of wardrobe/drawer space, lovely comfortable beds, tv and tea/coffee making facitlities. The bathroom was also immaculately clean. The restaurant was another experience. This guesthouse is renown for it's cuisine and the 5 course meal that we had will stay in our memories for a long time. It was superb. Every mouthful was to be savoured. We had a great night's sleep as it is just so peaceful and tranquil. No noisy doors being banged or guests getting to their rooms in the middle of the night like in hotels. Just absolute peace and quiet. Breakfast was also fabulous from the homemade fruit salad to the award winning suasages in the best full Irish breakfast we have ever tasted. The whole experience was outstanding as you can tell from this review. We have stayed is so many places that have disappointed us over the years that this was a true pearl and we'll be back. A great location for exploring Donegal and I only wish we could have stayed longer

Note---North Ayrshire is in SCOTLAND (Minus 2 points for that) Chosen off the internet, and unsure what we would find---this place is a DEFINITE find. Room was lovely, spacious and very clean, and the dinner was "to die for". The staff were very friendly and most welcoming and my only complaint was the lack of a single malt (Scottish) whisky to round of my superb meal. However the Black Bush proved to be an adequate substitiute. Thank you one and all.

We would have enjoyed staying two nights instead of only one. The dinner was excellent; breakfast was too of course, but we particularly enjoyed dinner and wine and Bushmill's Black. We hope to return; there are huge things to see and do in Ireland that we didn't have time to do in a t wo week trip.

We stayed here in July 2011. It was absolutely beautiful, very peaceful and scenic. The rooms were lovely and the food was great in the restaurant. The service and the staff were so nice, it really felt like a hotel but with better service. We will definitely go back to this guest house and have already recommended it to our family and friends.

When we arrived at The Diamond in Donegal, we called the hotel to ask for directions, and Theresa Morrow came into town and showed us the way. What excellent, personalised service! Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were happy to be able to bring our cat along. Except for the small size of our bathroom, everything else about our stay was perfect. The dining room has great rustic ambience, and our breakfast was delicious. We especially liked the choice of hot dishes for breakfast, and appreciated the fact that local and organically-grown food was used whenever possible.

I have left standard of the bar and resturant at two stars because I did not use the restaurant. I presume that it was better than this as the breakfast was excellent.

A wonderfully appointed and comfortable B&B. Friendly service and a quite superb breakfast - the organic yogurt was particularly delicious. We would all loved to have stayed longer and enjoy the peace and views afforded there. We had a delicious bar supper at the Castle Pub.

We stayed at Ard Na Breatha for 2 nights in mid-February. I had stayed there before and we would highly recommend it to anybody visiting Co. Donegal. Particulary liked dinner at the end of each day!! Theresa and the staff looked after us very well too.
